Student & Family Specialist Parenting Workshops On Saturday, February 27th, 2010, Pinckney’s Student & Family Specialists offered a variety of K-12 parenting workshops.  Despite the cold weather, we had over 40 parents attend! Parents were able to gain valuable information about the adolescent brain,  parenting utilizing Love & Logic and strategies on how to improve communication with their children.
What is New Tech High School? New Tech High Schools are small high schools of 400 total students that use technology to facilitate project-based learning for the students they serve with a one-to-one student-to-computer ratio.    The core elements of the New Tech High School are Technology That Enables, Culture That Empowers and Teaching That Engages.  These schools make great strides to connect students with their communities through the projects they create.        
Drive Reaches Out to Troops By Frank Konkel
from the DAILY PRESS & ARGUS A Navigator School sixth-grader has teamed up with her teacher to reach out to Army troops overseas in Afghanistan. Camyrn Ozuch — with the help of her teacher, Christine Simon — kicked off a drive Monday that will run through Nov. 16 in an effort to collect food and hygienic items for Army troops overseas.
PCS Parent eMail In an effort to stay better connected to the families we serve, Pinckney Community Schools uses three components of electronic communication – our @pinckneyschools.org parent email accounts, our electronic gradebook – TeacherEase, and Zangle ParentConnection for tracking attendance and paying for lunch.
